Who we are

NUR Indian Restaurant, Unit 1–2, Edlington Lane, Edlington, South Yorkshire, DN12 1BS ("NUR", "we"). Telephone 01709 860 823. We are the data controller for personal information collected through this website.

What we collect and why

  • Online orders: your name, telephone number, email address (optional), delivery address for delivery orders, the items you order, any notes such as allergies or change required. We use this to prepare, deliver and confirm your order (performance of a contract).
  • Table reservations: your name, telephone number, email (optional), party size, date and time, and any requests such as accessibility or dietary needs. We use this to manage your booking.
  • Customer accounts (optional): your saved contact details, address book, order history, favourites and loyalty stamps. You do not need an account to order.
  • Concierge chat: the messages you send to our online concierge and, if you choose to give it, a contact method so our team can reply. Chats are stored so staff can answer questions the concierge could not.
  • Website reviews: the name and review text you submit. Reviews are only shown once approved.
  • Technical data: server logs including IP address and browser type, used for security, fraud prevention and keeping the website running (legitimate interests).

Marketing

We only send marketing messages if you tick the consent box. You can withdraw consent at any time by contacting us or, for account holders, in your account preferences.

Payment

We are cash only. We never collect or store card details.

Who we share data with

Our staff who prepare and deliver your order, and our hosting and email/SMS providers where configured. We do not sell personal data.

How long we keep it

Order and booking records are kept for up to two years for accounting and dispute purposes; concierge chats for up to one year; account data until you delete your account. Retention periods are configurable by the restaurant and are stated in our admin settings.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct or delete it, object to processing or withdraw consent. Contact us on 01709 860 823 or write to the address above. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
